HELP
My new boss came in with a list of demands like a new lap top, new computer, etc.
That could be dealt with in time. BUT the main problem is that from his old office he brought with himself 3 large cartoons only filled with paper.
The first cartoon is the size of a small fridge and everywhere its paper.
The second has his stuff from his desk and its just some open files and paper and more scattered paper.
I took out the books and binders and arranged them on the side shelf but when I go into his room, I feel claustrophobic.
He also brought with himself his old small 2 file cabinets in which items are filled according to his accessibility.
Please help me get organized, the office organized and make sense of paper and paper everywhere.
He also calls me into his office and gives me like 8 different instructions.
I write them down but he wants everything done in a jiffy.
The funny thing is that when he is sitting down, in a meeting, he gets up about 8 times, and fidgets. Seeing him move around makes me a bit uncomfortable. |

I forgot to cover the point about your boss constantly getting up from his seat and moving around.
Firstly, remember that this is a neww venture for him and he may be having difficulty getting used to his surroundings etc. If this is so, in time he may settle down and stop doing it.
Secondly, a lot of people tend to think better on their feet.
Thirdly, this may be a trait in him and he cannot help it. If so I'm afraid you will have to get used to it.
I remember I had a boss once who thought better when peering over someone elses shoulder. (strange but true) He was not checking that we were doing our work properly, he just couldn't help it. Boy was this annoying to begin with, but we all eventually got used to it.
