Post- depo shot problem Jenisi 12/15/03
I was due for my last depo shot October 3 of this year but I decided not to have it done for multiple reasons. During the 3 months I was on the shot, however, I had a regular period and I had my period right on schedule in October. It ran from the 12th to around the 19th, nothing abnormal in flow, symptoms, etc. I haven't had a period since.

In November, I'd been feeling as I had during the first months of my prior pregnancies, so I took an at-home pregnancy test. Actually, I took several. (By this time, I'd kind of wanted to be pregnant) On one of these tests, a very faint line showed on the test stick saying that I could be pregnant. Later tests have come up negative. I went to the Health Dept. two weeks ago and there was tested, given a negative result, but told that I could still be pregnant and the hormones might not be enough to show yet. (I was told to come back in a couple of weeks for another test if my period hadn't arrived by then.)

I know that it's common not to have a period for some amount of time after one's gone off the shot, but it's also the majority of women who don't have a period at all while they're on the shot. I don't understand why, though, I'd have a regular period before the shot, while I was on the shot, and right after the missed shot, but now my body's going haywire. What are the possible reasons for this? (I'm dying for answers!)

    Thanks
