How important is milk for bones?
My mother will be 60 and she has lost 2 inches from her height. My mother in law has aching bones especially in winter. My mother never liked the smell of milk and as a child growing up we were never forced to drink milk. Now in my 30s I am having the same symptoms like my mom of aching bones, brittle and fragile bones which my mom attributes to low calcium level. I don’t like taking calcium tablets as they taste chalky and are too big to swallow. Though I like the taste of milk, I just never had it because no one told me to drink it when I was younger. Though my dad loves milk and he has good teeth and good bones. Though his bones hurt but not as much as my mom;s does. I don’t like yogurt or cheese.
How much milk should I take at my age so I also do not become like my mom and what is the best remedy for my mom for her aching bones and fragile bones. Or is it already too late for me.
Thanks
