| I Cant view my hidden files and Folders |

Dear Sir,
I am having Windows Xp pro SP2 Operating System. Right now i am facing a problem, i cant veiw my hidden files and folders. In the folder option - view tab i press the "show me hidden files and folders" radio button - apply ok. even then it automatically goes to "dont show hidden files and folders"
exactly what is the problem i dont know. please help me out.
