Playback too fast and pitch too high in all media programmes Windows XP PrinceHassim 09/14/07
I am running W XP and the system works well except that when I record and playback audio through any multimedia programme such as Win Media Player etc, or run a video link from the Internet the playback speed is too fast and, naturally, the voice pitch is raised beyond recognition.

Is there any way in which the playback speed can be normalised and the pitch restored to real time on a permanent basis?

When I burn these 'racing' tracks to CD and play them on any other player, the speed and pitch is normal. The problem is within my Computer.

    What can anyone suggest?

    Ronnie
