| Unusual Printing Problem |

Hi... for some reason recently, I cannot print well from any printer from my computer... this is what I have tried... I have a nice HP 995c, which was near top of the line when it came out, so its a nice printer, and I also tried a HP fax/scanner/printer... I have tried cleaning out the nozzles, replacing all cartridges, running all printer diagnostics, etc., etc.... But no matter what i do, it prints black ok, altho I dont think its as good as it should be even in the highest quality setting... but as far as colors, it only prints certain hues... like on the 995c, i used to only print blue hues... on my fax printer it only prints red hues... i have messed around with settings, but obviously not the problem there bec i never messed with the hues or color settings before anyway... so the only other thing I can think of is maybe some virus or defect in XP and I am afraid to do what I fear the most... clean out and resinstall, which I havent done in over 2 years now because I keep my computer clean in every way (I clean pc's and consult professionally as well)... I have just never encountered this problem nor have I ever even heard of it... so if anyone knows anything please let me know... hopefully its something simple. Oh and all my usb's work fine with all my other devices. Thanks. |

If the printer has had a lot of use, or is about 5 years old, I would throw it out and get a new one. With the price of ink, you are going to spend more on this one that getting a new one.
