MS Windows NT----Virus !! TMarc 08/25/03
Dear Scott...I've picked up a devasting virus on my home computer..I was about to replace this four year old workhorse anyway but this virus 'expedited' the process.. Also, this actually occurred over four months ago so I cannot remember the exact name of the virus but (hopefully ) this will not effect your answer to my question: My system 'boots' up but I cannot click on any of my desktop icons..nor can I move to the dos (cmd) prompt..Ny system is totaly frozen after booting..I have some files that I'd like to salvage...Is there any way I can get to these files..Is there a boot diskette that I can make whereby I could boot from the A: drive..??? Thanks.
PS I had Mcafee firewall but the virus ate right thru it.!!!
