Vocal and Throat SongAndDanceGirl 11/06/02
Hello, I am in the theatre (musical and straight plays) and I have a definite problem. My voice is consistently scratchy (which, aside from just sounding gross, wreaks havoc on my projection, even when speaking/singing from my diaphragm and chest voice). I'm not sure what the problem is... does anyone know what can be done to fix this problem? I have tried gargling with water and lemon or water and salt but that only works for a few moments. Even when doing vocal warm-ups, it remains scratchy. Thank you for any help/assistance you can give me. It's a problem that has become quite an annoyance.
