CPU upgrade webtrain1 04/14/03
I have an American Megatrends motherboard. A Pentium II 333 mhz cpu. I want to upgrade my cpu to a Pentium 4. I thought Pentium II cpu's were a Type 1 socket? is this right?
I have looked on the web for CPU's and P4's i see a lot require a socket 478 or 478 pin. What web site can tell me or can you tell me what cpu i can upgrade to without changing the motherboard. I thought I could go from a Pentium II to a P4 w/o a problem. Basically, how can i figure out what cpu's i can upgrade to?
