I recently installed a new motherboard and proccessor, however i had problems with it recognising my hard drive, i worked out this was because the BIOS was too old to recognise hard drives of that size, so i updated the BIOS using the motherboards makers website, however now when i try to boot up i get a message saying "unable to locate file "bootmagic.img" and as a result i can't get the pc to bootup, any ideas as to how i fix this, i have partion magic splitting my 80gb hard drive into 3 sections |
Clarification/Follow-up by mrfollowfollow on 09/14/05 8:57 am: oh i forgot to mention that when i flashed my bios, and had a look at the bios settings, its no longer in english, but in an asian language. any ideas on this? it was all in english whilst i was going through the flashing proccess.
this ridiculous stuff always happens to me, aahahahh
Clarification/Follow-up by ScottGem on 09/14/05 12:23 pm: sounds like you used the wrong file and flashed a chinese language version. I'd go back to the site you got the file from and get the right one.
