    1) there is a diagram that shows the point A(3, 6, 8) in R^3.
    A
    z |
    | /|
    | / |8
    | / |
    3/- ------- y
    x 6

How do you determine the coordinates of three other points in R^3 that would be plotted in the same position on the diagram?
    b) how are the coordinates of the points in the first part related?

    2) In the above diagram, point A has coordinates (3, 6 , 8) is actually a two dimensional diagram that was created on a computer. Point A was plotted using the approximate coordinates (3.9, 5.9) relative to the origin and the y and z axes.
    a) how can the coordinates (3.9, 5.9) be determined from the coordinates (3, 6, 8)

    b) If (x3, y3, z3) represent the coordinates of a point, A, in R^3. what are the formulas for the coordinates (y2,z2) of the point A' in R^2 that should be plotted to represent point A?
    c) how do you check the formulas from part b? by using the 3 points in the first question??
