Starting late.... Monsoleil 08/03/07
Hello, Dathaeus. I am currently 16 years old and a Junior in highschool. I have no experience in tennis but am interested in joining my local highschool's tennis classes, but not to become pro, just to gain experience and hopefully keep up with it for the rest of my life recreationally. I wish I had considered joining during my freshman year, but unfortunately, I can't turn back the clocks.

Though I am fairly fit and well coordinated, I am concerned that I am not capable of playing with my lack of experince; I am afraid that it is too late for me to just pop in when there are probably more kids that have played since their freshman year, or even before then, having more experience.

Though I would absolutely love to join the local athletic tennis club in our town area but we can't afford it, so I am stuck.

Should I just give up on tennis altogether or shoot for the stars anyways?
