Hello again,
My mistake (or your bad writing). I see that you ARE a teacher thinking of becoming something else. I think that would be a great idea.

Sorry excon, I don't live in the U.S. Did I offend you in some way? I'm just sharing.

Hello again,
No, gss, I'm not offended and I meant no offense in my reply. It's only my observation. I sensed that you were not a native English speaker, and if you are not teaching in English, then my suggestions don't apply.
If you are teaching in English, however, then I stand by my comments. I'm sure you're a nice person, gss. I just don't want you teaching my children.

Excon, I think I was stressed when I wrote the first message.
I've never gone abroad.
I'm considered a good professional here in my country. I teach my language and English, but I prepare myself beforehand.I never teach something wrong or what I don't know, and I teach to people who know less than I do. Despite of my first message, I I like my job. The reality in my country for English teaching isn't the same as in the U.S, and I'm a person who is always willing to learn, and I know I have miles ahead, even in my OWN language.I intend to go to the U.S to study and I'm preparing myself for extra courses.I know I'm not perfect.I wrote that message in a moment of stress. Despite of coping with all kinds of students, some disrespectful, I teach with my heart. I would never offend a student of mine, and many times some of them become better people.Maybe that's what makes me to go on.As in all professions, sometimes we can get stressed. As you can see, no problem if i taught your children.
I had vey good achievements in my life as a teacher. Maybe I can study even more to fly higher, when this period of stress finishes.I wish you luck.

Hello Schoolmarm:
If the truth is painful, so be it.
You, Miss Schoolmarm, are exactly what's wrong with our schools today. Somebody writes something crappy (a teacher, no less). Somebody notices it (a dumb excon).
And another teacher thinks its just fine that the first teacher can't write.
Bill Gates is right. Something stinks in our schools.

Excon, you have much to be grateful for, including the fact that this open forum allows for all sorts of posts. Gss30 is a she, not a he, and she is in Brazil, not in the US public education system which you so clearly loathe.
I know the poster well and have been working with her for nearly a year, both privately and on the board, to help her improve her situation. I do not recall her asking any of us to critique her posts, only to help with her teaching issues (which are difficult at best) yet you are not the first to pounce on her unprovoked. What a sad commentary on the quality of "experts" on this site!
The poster speaks and teaches Portuguese. I suggest you address further comments to her in that language. She also teaches SOME English to Portuguese-speaking students.
Now, "somebody" (you) have written something "crappy" (such language!), and "somebody" (I) noticed it. Perhaps you can find another expert who will think "its [sic] just fine" that you, a self-proclaimed expert in teaching, can't write. I, however, take exception to your attitude and your appearance here. It is obvious from your posts that you are neither a teacher nor an expert in English. What you are doing constitutes clear abuse of the answerway boards.

Hello Schoolmarm:
At the risk of redundancy, let me repeat myself: You are exactly what's wrong with our school system today!
I see that your English skills are present when you criticize my writing. BUT, I'M NOT TEACHING ANYBODY HOW TO WRITE. I'm an EXCON. I'm not supposed to know anything,
Then you have the audacity to accuse me of hating the school system. Frankly, I think I got the last good education that our schools put out. I flunked English - continuously, and dropped out of high school. Notwithstanding the above, and considering that I didn't learn too much English, I ain't doing too badly with it.
But, what blows me away. Is that you reserve your criticism for me and not a teacher of young minds who clearly writes at a less than high school level!
And to you, gss. The truth hurt. Too bad.
