    hello

I'm not an expert here but came accross your question on dyes. Rit makes dyes which you can purchase at any art store, Wal-Mart, or K-Mart. K-Mart has the lowest prices for around $2. Fill washing machine with hot water, add dye. After dye dissolves, add your shirts to it. (Be careful, some dyes need to be cooked over the stove top. You don't want to do this.)

First use Ritz STAIN AND COLOR REMOVER to get a fresh start before dying. The STAIN AND COLOR REMOVER may bring your shirts back to a color that you may not want to dye after all.

I just finished dying a large project using 1 box of Dark Brown 25 and it looks closer to rust which is want I actually wanted.

IMPORTANT: Add 1 cup vinager and 1 cup epsom salt to rinse water to set the color in. I add it to my regular wash for all my NEW colored clothing to keep them looking brand new.

Just reread your question. Try crystal deoderant. A small clear stone that you moisten before applying. Available at places where deoderant is sold as well as the health food store. Some companies make it in spray form. I've been using this for many years without staining anything including my very delicate work clothes. I wear a lot of white.

if you get a color you obsolutely do not like just use a box of COLOR REMOVER and start over. Try 1/2 a box first and if you want it darker add the other half. You'll know after 20 minutes what color you are getting.

If you get tired of wearing one color start over with another color.

you can't go wrong with $2.00 worth of dye. All colors are beautiful. It's fun.

Try it on your faded jeans. Use the color remover first to start with an even color and then dye them.
