Waistline question jpollardsmith 06/14/07
    Hello,

    I'm 41 and I live in Arizona.

As I've grown, I've developed a little bit of a protruding abdomen. The protrusion starts at the bottom of my ribs. Then curves out. And finally curves back in about 2" below my naval. Below that, I have a thin-person's pelvis and legs.

2" above my naval, my waist measurement is 42.5". And 2" below my naval it is 39".

Generally what I do now is start my day with the top of my pants at the 2" above location. And, as the day goes on and my belly expands/contracts, my pants slip down to the 2" below position.

This begs the question, which waistline should I use when shopping for pants, the 42.5" or the 39" waist?

Would you have any recommendations about this?

    Thank you,

    John
