To improve one's self one must first have a belief of something wrong. Now, this belief in something wrong must be measured by a comparison. My question is what must this comparison be based on? |
Clarification/Follow-up by keenu on 09/16/05 5:23 am: Right, but even in fixing someting wrong you have to have a basic ideal from which you have strayed and needs to be improved upon or fixed. Let me rephrase my question and see if that helps. "From where does your basic ideal or view of self perfection originate? And why would you ever feel the need to improve upon it?" Do you think it is your ego? Do you think it is built into your personality? Do you think it is formed after you are born and shaped by family and environment? This is where I wanted my question to take you.
