Flipping Discounted Properties w/o Doing Renovations Myself Ccl471 06/18/06
If I want to invest in RE by purchasing discounted properties, fixing them up, then selling them at a profit, do I need to do the repairs myself in order succeed?

What if I hire a contractor to do the repairs for me? My dad has a contractor friend who is able to do all repairs necessary(paint, stucco, roofing, plumbing, electrical, kitchen/bathroom -- everything!). I think I can make a deal with him that if he keeps doing work for me at a reasonably low rate that I'll be his frequent customer, because if what he charges me for services is low enough that I'll be able to flip properties profitably, then I'll keep flipping and hire him to do the renovations each time.

See how that would work? Do you think such a deal would work?

    Many thanks,

    C.L.
