Michael Jackson SCOOBY 03/10/05
    Hello Voiceguy

Do you have any idea why the judge is being so hard on Michael Jackson? Apparently, he was in the hospital with a serious back problem and couldn't make it to his court appearance on time.

Couldn't his attorneys have asked for a change of court date? Or is it his attorneys who want to hurry up and get him in to court no matter what? I've gone through this myelf where my attorneys wanted to hurry me through the system so they could get their money regardless of how terribly sick I obviously was. The defense attorney eventually let me leave due to being too sick to testify. I never did finish the depositions.

Yea and judges and lawyers are used to getting their own way also. I've worked with attorneys and know how cold blooded they can be and many of them think they are God who want things to happen at the snap of a finger.

And attorneys play games also. They will post pone court dates to intimidate the client into settling out of court or to get them to do what they want. I know first hand.

I also know that when very important things are going on some of us get very sick.

I had GREAT plans for last weekend and they fell through because I got sick. This has happened in the past. I have lost out on many Christmasses, Thanksgivings, Easters, etc, etc, due to this problem.

Wonder if anyone else has had this problem with getting very, very seriously sick at very imporatant times. I am very interested in this problem. I did hear someone talk about this on t.v. within the last several months. And he gave a strange explanation about it. I think it was the weather man who mentioned the fact that there is a tendency for mother nature to give us lousy days on the weekends when people aren't working. It's like the planet knows that it is time off from work. And he was very serious when he was discussing this issue.

I think you need to stop calling him Jacko. You know he doens't like this. Why stoop to his level (if he in fact did molest this kid).

      Hello voiceguy

You know I watched several different news broadcasts and read through a couple of websites that I frequent often and not one of them mentioned anything about no one knowing his whereabouts?

Not until midnight on one of the Spanish stations was it ever mentioned.

I would be interested in knowing what your most reliable source of the news is?

      Thank youl

I was listening to a live report on the radio from a news reporter on the scene in Santa Maria yesterday morning, who was saying that Jackson had not shown up and that his attorney was outside, pacing around in some agitation and talking on his cell phone. The judge, expecting to start at 8:30 a.m., had come out at 8:35 and announced that he was issuing a bench warrant for Jackson's arrest, and would forfeit his $3 million bail if he didn't show up within one hour. My understanding is that he actually arrived in 1 hour and 5 minutes.

My guess -- and it is only a guess -- is that no one had bothered to tell Tom Mesereau (his attorney) that Jackson was down in Santa Ynez in a hospital, and that Mesereau was on the phone with Jackson's caretakers demanding to know what the %#$@%! was going on.

Not that I pay that much attention to Michael Jackson, but I do not recall ever hearing that he had back trouble in the past. For someone who made his living dancing on stage and in videos, this seems surprising.

In any case, while I have no actual knowledge of what Mesereau did or did not know yesterday morning, I can certainly say from experience that my own clients would often do crazy things and not bother to tell me. With someone as quirky and accustomed to getting his own way as Michael Jackson, it is obvious that Mesereau has a major client-control challenge on his hands.

a story was going around yesterday that Jackson at one point had fallen off a stage and had (convieniently) recuring back problems. ......

it appears that he phyically collapes under stress and suffers anxiety . ....

Ron Kuby ;a defense lawyer in NY area was speculating on his talk show that often defendants will get an idea in their head that the main witness will be a no show ;and will not testify . He said that if this was the case that the testimony came as a shock to Jackson ;a shock he tried to retreat from. I do not think that he will try to pull a Roman Polansky ;but , Drudge was reporting this morning that it was feared that he could be suicidal . Would it be in the judges power to 'lock him up /revoke bail ' just for his own protection (put him on suicide watch )?
