| I THINK IT SCANDALOUS |

Hello eeryone
I am not sure whether this should be a question or a Forum topic but if I ask it here it will get this category off and running.
I live in Devon UK. I had to visit my father in the Torbay Hospital. My wife and I had to travel 25 miles from our home and catch a link for approximately another 15 miles. All this was done by public transport (Bus)
This involved two sets of return bus tickets.
The price of this trip was £16.80 Which I believe is absolutely scandalous.
The British Government are saying that we must get people out of their cars and onto public transport, but, I feel sure that had I owned a car and driven from my home directly to the hospital, even accounting for the wear and tear and parking fees, it would have been cheaper. It would also have been a lot quicker as I would not have to wait around for bus links.
If this is the case I feel I cannot blame people for remaining in their cars and not using public trasport.
Do you think I am wrong in considering the price of this trip was way too high?
