Coin toss and bounce simulation - contact point to floor cifs1 07/27/06
I am simulating a coin flipping in the air. Is there a relativly simple formula for determining the contact point of the flipping coin with a flat surface, given the coins current x,y and z rotation angle?
Is there a second formula which once the contact point is found, determine the velocity vectors given the rotations and the current velocities?

      Clarification/Follow-up by cifs1 on 07/27/06 2:47 pm:
I am animating this and know the current position in terms of its x,y,z centre and x,y and z rotation. Where z<= Radius I will calculate the lowest point on the coin and see if it is close to zero. The problem is, how do I calculate this point?
