| Internet Filtering Software with Custom Settings |

Do most internet filtering/parental control programs allow you to do custom settings, selecting which types of offensive content you want to block out, and allowing some other types?
I'm an adult, single and without children. I want to block out porn, but I still want to be able to reach other offensive sites, like weapons sites (firearms and swords/knives), sites with hate content, so I can have an idea what Islamic fundamentalist/terrorist groups are saying, and also other groups like White Supremacists and the Nation of Islam (not that I support their ideals, but I don't want to be ignorant about their ideas and propaganda).
If most programs don't offer selective filtering, then could you recommend one that does, if it exists?
