Hello once again Scot.If this is in the wrong area I am sorry I wasn't sure where it fits in.You have helped me a lot in the past and hope you can again. I have an e-machine w1640 1gig mem, winxp 1600+amd and use a geforcefx 5200.The other morning I tuned on my pc a screen came up and said keyboard not detected or configured. I tried every way I could to get out of it but I had to kill the power,I had an usb mouse on it.replaced the keyboard with one that I know works then the screen came up saying that the monitor is working check your pc and signal cable.there was no beeps when it started up.I checked cable every thing was fine.tried to get into safe mode, cmos no luck ,tried start up disk for xp with no luck, have tried xp recovery disk and a win xp o/s disk with no luck.My floppy drive does not light up or seem to even start.MY dvd drive light up and works ,my cd drive is not working,my hard drive has no sound or vibration in it.I removed my modem card and the ge force card and retried with no luck .Tried the two mem sticks in all the possible combinations and have checked all wires .I took the battery out Friday eve. and put it back in today{Sunday}I am still in the same position no beeps and not getting any where I also tried a different monitor off another pc.Tried every thing that I know of is there anything else I can do or try.Or is this pc shot? Thank You again for your help lk
