XP Recovery MikeR 11/10/06
    Hello!
Pride of Aldebaran suggested I ask you about restoring my installation of XP. Windows cannot find my 2 cd/dvd drives, d: & e:, probably my fault cos I deleted some files I shouldn't have! Is it possible to recover XP without having to re-instal all my application s/w?
    Many thanks
    Mike R

      Hi - thanks.
Don't have a CD - my recovery files are on the hard drive (initiated by pressing enter on start-up). Janne alias pride ... suggested repairing WinXP by 're-installing with the r option' (but said he'd never tried it). Will this let me reinstal without having to re-instal all my s/w apps? I suspect a rebuild will start a new registry, & put me back to square 1 (albeit with a clean slate)

You should be able to run the Repair from the Recvoery partition.
