I work in a public library. Part of my job is to supervise and interact with teens who've gotten into trouble and do their community service hours with me.
I have a new kid, a 12 y/o, who absolutely loves geckos, hermit crabs, chameleons, and other reptiles, especially lizardy ones, and has a bedroom full of them (tanks and cages). He hates libraries, but likes to draw. Do you have any suggestions on how can I make a hit with this young man? (P.S. Before I had kids of my own, I had chameleons and mice. I love libraries, but can't draw.) |
