I went through all of the programs in the Open With box and none of them supported or opened the file formats which are currently set as "Picture Viewer" (shown in the Open With box). In the other reply message you sent me you suggested a program that I could install so I can open these files. What program would that be?
The Picture Viewer applet is shown next to all of the graphics files that were created using the Microsoft Greeting Workshop software program.
I'll go to IrFanView to see how it will help me with these problems.
Thanks, Jim

IrFanView is the program I mentioned. Its a freeware graphics viewer that supports just about all graphics formats.
What happens when you double click on these files? Doesn't the default viewer load?
Hope this helps,

No, it doesn't load. everytime I try to open one of these files the Picture Viewer box opens and I get a message that says:
"Could not get picture from the file. Possibly not a picture file"
Picture View isn't the default program. Microsoft Greeting Workshop program is. The file extension for this program is .gwp.
Thanks

I forgot to tell you the next thing I do which, somehow, might be a part of the problem.
What I do is copy the files to a floppy so I can give it to my sister so she can install the files on her PC.
When I go out of the program and then back to my desktop I click on the floppy drive which shows the files and when I click on the file icon it still shows the "Picture Viewer Could not get picture from file. Possibly not a picture" message.
