Master Jedi Yoda decided to give up his Jedi ways and become a farmer. He has a choice of planting a combination of 2 different crops on 20 acres of swamp on his residential planet of Dagobah. For crop A, seed costs $120 per acre and for crop B, seed costs $200 per acre. The Federation has restrictions limiting acreage of crop A to 15 but none on crop B. Crop A will take 15 hours of labor per acre and the Jawa's will plant it for $5.60 an hour. Crop B will take 10 hours of labor and again they will plant it for $5.00 an hour. From the teachings of Master Jedi Obi Won Kenobi, Yoda expects the income from crop A to be $600 per acre and from crop B is $520 per acre. Help Yoda decided how the 20 acres should be apportioned to maximize the profit.
what are the constraints for this problem and what is the function? |
