    When octane, C8H18, is combusted, it combined with oxygen gas to yield water and carbon dioxide as products.



    Write the balanced equation for the combustion of octane.
    1)Suppose you combined 57.0 grams of octane and 7.53 x 1024 molecules of O2 gas.
    2)How many grams of water can be formed?
    3)How many molecules of CO2 gas can be formed?
    4)How many molecules of O2 are left over?
    5)Suppose you collected 75.4 mL of water. What would be your percent yield? (density of water = 1 g/mL).
