What could be a second crop for a farm Harmonyhill 06/22/03
    Hi,

I could not find a category about farming but I have a question. My area is surrounded by woodlands and farms, and a golf course. This year the fields in the immediate area were not farmed with a crop because the crop this yr is a parking lot for the US senior open golf tournament.

It will be over soon. I'm wondering what would be a likely choice for the farmers to plant for a crop that they will be able to utilize the land in a profitable way?

In years past the fields have been planted with wheat and corn, and sometimes pumpkin and other squash and tomatoes.

any guesses what they will do for the second half of the summer this yr?

    Thanks,
    Harmonyhill
