I was in my pottery class this week and somebody asked me what I was making. I told them I was making a small plate so I can put my SOS pad on my little pottery dish so it won't rust the counter top.
And you know where I got that from? This book called 834 Kitchen Quick Tips from The Editors Of Cook's Illustrated.
They said in there to put a small fan on the counter top and then all your plates will dry in record time and you can store them right away.
They have alot of good ideas. They have things in there that Rachel Ray has not even thought about.
