    The resting conductance of a neuron affects the efficacy of the synaptic input.
    What accounts for the resting conductance?
    b) How does a high resting conductance affect an excitory(depolarizing) synaptic input?
    c) How does a low resting conductance affect the same excitory input?
    d) How does a high resting conductance affect an inhibitory (hyperpolarizing) synaptic input?
