I read in the news that a 2nd cow in US has tested positive for mad cow disease. Though it was a "downer" cow and never entered the human food chain, it was processed for pet food. If other cows and humans can catch mad cow disease by eating an ifected cow, it seems to me like other animals could catch it by eating infected cows also. Shouldn't cows infected with mad cow disease be destroyed and burned or buried and not consumed by humans and other cows, or any animals???? |
