Anesthesia and Motor Nerves Navspert 05/27/03
Hi, just quick and troubling question:

When I when to my dentist, he drilled on my teeth. Before that, he injected some local anesthetics which of course block action potential signals from reaching the brain. However, why are only the nociceptors, temperature sensors, and pressure sensor nerves being blocked? What about the motor nerves? I can still move my mouth! What's with this? Please explain Thank you!
