| Peace treaty with Germany following World War One |
KofC-ASK-ME |
09/30/06 |
Considering that Senator Lodge spearheaded the Congressional opposition to the Treaty of Versailles, and that on May 20, 1920 the U.S. Congress passed a joint resolution ending the war between the United States and Germany - and that President Woodrow Wilson vetoed the resolution - how did the United States finally achieve peace with Germany? Was a peace treaty finally signed, or did we simply "forget about it"???
