Schizophrenia Anonymous 12/29/05
I recently read a book on schizophrenia and became rather frightened that I may have this condition. The main symptoms that I have are poor depth perception and the "funny taste/scent" that happens regularly. I would go to the doctor, but recent experiences have caused me to shun the medical industry. Any advice?

Well, I have 20/20 vision. I do have a digestion problem, though I am unsure of which one.

When I look at a page, sometimes the words appear to be in the "background" and overwhelmed by the actual color of the page., making it difficult to read.

Sometimes I hear voices, speaking uninteligable gibberish. It has gotten to the point where I usually ignore any auditory hallucinations that may occur. When I am in public I think everyone is staring at me, though I know better. It is rather distracting and as a result I usually stay home.

The "taste" happens about once a week or so, causing things I enjoy to taste foreign or bland.

What do you think about all this?
