Allergic reaction to viagra? blueduke 03/09/04
I was recently put on the drug viagra for erectile dys. The week I had the drug filled I had a scratchy throat and cough most of the week, but by Thursday it seemed to have subsided. I took my first dose of viagra that night and it worked fantastic. However later in the evening I felt the scratchy throat coming back and I coughed much of the night. Later the next day though I was feeling fine again and that night took a second dose of viagra and it worked to perfection again. The next morning though I woke up to a very dry mouth (I did drink some wine that night) and my uvula was swollen. Swollen enough that my wife thought I needed to see a doctor. I went to the ER and they said they were not sure if it was an allergic reaction or not but to be on the safe side to not take the drug again until I saw my doctor. The dry mouth and swollen uvula was the only out of the ordinary I had. I felt fine otherwise. Thoughts?
