Hi, I am an expert from another category. Most recent, since the first of this year, I have had 2 silent heart-attacks! Seems I never knew I had them.
I went in, in March of this year, because of kidney failure, but was diagnosed, with high blood pressure. I was put on BP meds, then tested for other "heart" related things, that I do not know the names for.
After months of heavy testing, then a catherization, echogram, and Chemical stress test, it was found I had advanced heart desease.
Then, after the visit, in July, my primary doctor told me the disheartening news, that I was disabled and couldn't work my regular job, because I had only 45% function with my heart, because I had had 2 silent heart attacks. She then, sent me to a cardiologist.
After, the next catherization, through my wrist, the cardiologist told me I needed a triple bypass. Left artery was totally blocked, right artery 95% blocked, and I had a blockage "under" my heart. Talk about rotten luck.
I have been fully disabled to this day, because I refused to have the surgery. I thought the risks were greater than the cure, at this time (85% chance of dying, with my mind set over the news)! I have been on 7 seperate meds, since July, with an 75% risk. Now, through friends and loved ones, as well, as several articles, I have changed my mind and will be having the surgery. My mental state is now 100% and am ready for this surgery.
What I really want to know, is will I be able to live an active work life, again? I am on the verge of insanity, due to lack of activity.
By the way the doctor says my heart has healed some, not sure how, but I like the sound of this, on my last visit. Any serious expert, who answer true and not just short, for ratings is respectful in my eyes! Only true experts please! I need to know if I can live a normal life again, even after my surgery (triple bypass)? Will there be any restrictions? I used to be a newspaper bundle dropper, to carriers Could I do this, again? Truth only...and thank you!:) |
