My husband and I have never had what you would call a great sex life. Lots of reasons but we have always managed to overcome the obstacles. However over the last several months I have been diagnosed with a neurological disorder and it requieres medication. This medication does not cause me problems but I do take medication for blood pressure and because of this disorder which can be embarresing and has caused me a great deal of self conciencesness I am on anti depressants as well. These have virtually destroyed my sex drive altogether. The doctor tried me on something else which helped but caused my disorder to get much worse so he took me off of it. I don't know what to do. My husband says he understands but he is frustrated. I don't blame him. I try to act interested but he knows I'm not and so we haven't had sex much at all. Today he said something about finding an apartment and seperating for awhile. I'd say we need marriage counceling but it won't help my sex drive. And if he can't have sex with me knowing I don't have desire, what should we do? thanks for any advice. |
