Word usage: boot vs start Manabu 03/17/07
Could you please tell the difference in nuance in the following two sentences, if any.

Boot the guest OS in single user mode.
Start the guest OS in single user mode.

I'm currently working on a translation work (Japanese to English) and having trouble uderstanding the usage of these two words: boot and start. I also would like to know when to use which.

    Any help appreciated.
