By the total fertility rate, age structure, and life expectancy, and rate of net migration how can you project what the population of Iceland will be in the year 2100? I have heard demographers study past birth and death trends and use regression analysis but I don't know how to do that. And how do demographers develop low variant, medium variant, and high variant fertility rates?
Currently the population of Iceland is 301,931 And the age distribution is as follows: 0-14: 21.4% 15-64: 66.8% 65+: 11.8%
The life expectancy is 80.43 years and the current total fertility rate is 1.91 children born per woman in her lifetime. The current birth rate is 13.57 births per 1,000 people and there is 6.77 deaths per 1,000 people. And there is 1.43 net migrants per 1,000 population. And I have no idea what information to use and how do determine the future population with an excel spreadsheet. And how do I estimate what the age structure would be in 2100? I am assuming a good chunk of the population will be over the age of 65. Any suggestions? https://www.cia.gov/library/publications/the-world-factbook/geos/ic.html#People Thanks in advance
