last job.. _JacquelineA 05/07/04
    Hi,
I wanted to share this situation that happened today with my former employer. Before I started selling cars I worked at a shoe store and I quit because of the poor management in the beginning of march. I never received a paycheck from them so at the end of April I called the district store manager to let him know and he said that I had to go pick it up from the job. I never knew this..my other jobs just mailed it to me and when I decided to quit the store manager said nothing and told another manager to let me out after they closed. So today I go up to pick up my check and the store manager says that I have to contact the payroll number because I didn't come soon enough to pick it up. I told her that she never told me how much time I had to pick it up..she said nothing and I walked out. I then decided to get the payroll number so I walked back in there and she was in the front office taking her time to get out..and the other manager says I'll go out there and deal with her and she says oh, fuck her! Then the other manager comes out and gives me the payroll number and she says is there a problem in a rude tone..and I just left. I told someone I know what happened and he asked for the store's number and when I just talked with him he said he was going up there Wednesday to handle this. I complained to the district store manager afterwards but all he said was I'll talk to Danyelle about her attitude. So, the people at payroll said they would have to mail it back to the store and the store manager would be calling in a week when they get it. Besides just sharing this..how would you react to her when you go back up there? This was terrible.
