Law career. Patent lawer career. -------------------------------- I am good in science courses, I like math and computer science. I worked 2 years as a software developer and now a sophomore student and gonna have a BS in computer science in 2 years. Recntly I became very good in art subjects, like English, Philosophy. I noticed I became interested in them as well. Plus my self-confidence increased and I became more ambitios. I think now about becoming a lawer after I complee my BSCS, because it is more payable and has higher meaning, like making justice in this world, comparing to computer science, where I do small software, which will be in use for no more then 2-3 years, waiting to be layed-off when next recession comes. I can go to law school and in 3 years I become lawer. Maybe I'll work for couple of years as a software developer earn some money before going to law school. There is a man studying with me for BS in CS. He is a lawer. He has 3 degrees already and wants to get a BS in CS because he needs a technical degree to become a patent lawer, because of money. I thought about this and decided that I can be a patent lawer as well. I haven't decided yet, maybe I'll be just a lawer. I think it is so exciting to do something that matters, earning great salary and having a possibility to earn millions if I become good, comparing to a miserable life of a software developer, with a 80-90K salary roof, with angry bosses and different technologies and economic recessions coming, which means lower salaries or even no job. What do you think about it? Is it a right motivation for becoming a lawer? |
