I realize that trying to get my facts from watching movies is probably not the way to go, but I don't know of any other way to get my information.
From what I've seen in movies, snipers in the U.S. military use semi-automatic sniper rifles, while snipers in law enforcement use bolt-action sniper rifles.
Why doesn't law enforcement use semi-automatic sniper rifles like the military does?
