about substantive use of adjective Junya 09/02/07
    I'm Junya from Japan.

Et sic in eis est virtus, id est in quantum elevatae sunt a materia, et rationi obediunt.

The subject of "elevatae sunt" is irascibilis and concuscibilis. Why is this elevatae feminin plural? Irascibilis and concuscibilis might be used as feminin. But why? Why aren't they irascibile and concuscibile? Ordinarily, such substantive use of adjective is in the form of neuter, isn't it?
