scatter plots AhmadBalkhi 03/13/08
As a "still" new teacher, there are several topics that I have difficulty teaching. One of these topics is teaching them identify a scatter plot for a given situation. Basically, the state requirement is to match a scatter plot with a given situation. The class I am assigned this year consists most of students who are either below proficient or far below proficient. We are done with graphing lines and they finally mastered is (almost).
I need your ideas on how to teach this concept without having them memorize anything.
    Thank you!
