how do i resolve these two issues?how do i solve this problem actually problems simon 06/22/03

Hi i was shifted to a office, where the admin assistant has now become a supervisor and me the new admin assit. When i came, he piled tons of papers and told me to get organized.

Then when i do get organized he tells me not to touch his stuff but organize his papers.

He gave me another stack yesterday. Which i did not do. So when i was on sick leave for two days he told me that he went though my desk and there is a pile of paper which should have been organized. I told him that he had no write to go through my suff.

Anyway, now the problem is that i am a messy person myself. How do i clear up someone elses' mess at the office.

Please help me get organized or its bye bye to the new job.

My boss also wants me to organize his office.

    How???????????????/
the office where i have moved i do not have a desk yet. So i am using his desk, his computer, his printer etc. When i came, his desk was pilled up with fils and paper. His surroundings are also cluttered with stationary, empty boxes of toners etc.

When I say to him the surroundings look filthy and need to be cleared up he replies “don’t touch any of my stuff or throw away anything that might be important”. When I ask him to come and see what I have piled up or what I need his advice on he never does. Though he portrays something else to the boss and surrounding secretaries (i have been told this behind his back by others). He shows them that filing still needs to be done and our boss’ office still needs to be cleared up.

Talking to our boss won’t help. He is the type of boss who does not like to be bothered with little office rifts and just wants his work done on time and on his desk.

Also, how do i make my boss see that i am not a lazy bum and how do i looke active?

Also do you have any ideas on how i can have my area clean, neat and upto date especially the filing area and my own desk?

I am messy myself and when i come under pressure i become a lot more disorganized and my mind goes blank and can't find anything. I don't like being in surroundings where the coworkers are out to get you and stab you behind your back.

I am the new person here and all the people already working at my office are seniors so i also have to keep in mind that.
