Negotiating the salary sallie00 08/16/05
I have been on an interview. I liked the job description and duties.

I agraduated with a bachelor degree in construction management. I have no work experience.

I went on an interview and I was offered the job, but was greatly disappointed in the salary. I have to be out of town 2 to 3 months a year.

I would settle for less than the going salary so as to get the experience, but I still need to negotiate for more than the salary schedule.

The interviewer said our salary was confidential, which would indicate to me that the salary could differ alot between persons doing the same duties.

Any help in negotiating would be appreciated.

I have 2 days to get back with the interviewer.

    Thanks in advance.
