Are Jehovah Witnesses a disorganized religion? madddawg 10/15/06
It would appear that Jehovah Witnesses condemn organized religion. Does that mean that they are a disorganized religion.

"Upon Russell's death the helm of leadership was manned by Judge Joseph Rutherford, who acquited himself nobly in the eyes of the Society by attacking the doctrined of organized religion with unparalleled vigor, and whose radio talks, phonograph recordings, numerous books, and resounding blasts against Christendom reverberated downthe annals of the organization until his death on January 8, 1942, from cancer at his Palatial mansion, Beth Sarim, in San Diego, California. Rutherford's career was no less amazing than Russell's for the Judge was an adversary of no mean porportion against organized religion which he termed rackets or against those who questioned his decisionw in the Society. Hope,

      You said:

"Not true Tom not all of the Governing Boby are of the 144,000."

That is true as I pointed out, and further waht I said was that the governing body is supposed to be made up entirely of the anointed class (144,000), but due to failed prophecies of the end of the world (starting with the failure of the prophecy of the return of Christ in 1914), the Watchtower Society is left with a problem of an aging and small pool from which draw upon to adhere to this rule.

Indeed, if we wanted to be technically accurate, there should not be any lorganization at all (Watchtower, 1895, p.216), so even the existence of the Watchtower Society is wrong. But the Watchtower Society does alter it's rules and the same is true regarding the governing body.

      You said:

"And we are not required to do anything our heart do not want to do."

In the Douglas Walsh trial of 19564, as an example, one of the Watchtower leaders stated under oath that Jehovah's Witnesses must believe false prophecy or be deemed worthy of death (I can provide proof if you wish).

Likewise, in the same trail, under oath, Fred Franz, one time president of the governing council stated in response to a question (Question and Qnswer both quoted below):

"Q: A witness has no alternative, has he,
to accept as authoritative and to be obeyed instructions issued in the "Watchtower" or the "Informant" or "Awake"?

      A: He must accept those."

      You said:

"I don't know where you get you information from but you need to keep in step with the organization."

I get my information primarily from the Wathctower Society publiclations.

      You said:

"They are always moving forward and making changes according to the time of the end of this system."

I agree. Things which were required in the past are now considered apostasy. C. T. Russel himself would be removed from the Watchtower Society today for apostasy because his views were so different on matters considered essential from those of the Watchtower Society today.

      Yet in scripture we read:

      Mal 3:6
      6 "For I am the LORD, I do not change;
      NKJV

      You said:

"You need to keep up Tom, your slacking behind."

Read more carefully what I said!

      You Said:

"Remember too that God does not reveal sacred matters to those not disposed to recieve them.

God revealed Himself in the Bible, but the Watchtower Society has told us that reading the Bible alone will lead people astray.

I agree that it is important that we love truth and as a result, I am more than willing to study what the Bible has to say with you. Would you like to start with the trinity?
