Hello. My father is currenlty in the U.S., living/working without authorization. My mother is residing in Russia. She has a 5-year multiple-entry visitor visa to the U.S., valid for 4 and a half more years. I will be applying for U.S. citizenship in August 2007 (I currently have a green card), and would like to help my parents become permanent residents. My questions are:
1) Will my father (and mother, if she comes) be able to remain in the U.S. while the petition is pending?
2) When will I be able to submit an I-130 for my parents (e.g., once I file for naturalization, or once I am a US citizen)?
3) How long does it usually take to process the petition?
4) Can my parents apply for work authorization once I-130 is filed?
5) Will I be financially responsible for my parents, or can my father's income be included?
