The French painter Louis Burntochre was famous for his portrait paintings of the aristocracy of the times.
It was the Marchioness Bignbustez who approached him with a bold request.
"Louis, my husband the Marquis is 60 years old next month, and I want to give him a surprise gift of a nude painting of myself ".
"Sorry" said Louis "but that kind of painting is just not my style"
"Well", said the Marchioness " I will double the fee you charge for a fully clothed painting"
"OK then",agreed Louis "Just one thing though, I insist on leaving my socks on, just for somewhere to stick my paint-brushes"
