Inconsistant turn of the shoe letsrok 11/02/03
I seem to have a great deal of difficulty turning the shoe the same every time, although I am careful to grip and hold it in the same place and desperately try to keep the followthrough and swing the same.
My alignment is just the pits at times as I throw to the left of the stake or to the right.

I have been pitching seriously all summer and need some advice as I cannot seem to overcome these problems, even though I diligently practice.
I will throw from 0-9 ringers out of 20 shoes horribly inconsistant.

      Jim,

Before I go too far in answering this question, I need a little more info. Could you tell me what type of turn you're throwing (most common are 1-3/4, 1-1/4 and 3/4) and what kind of horseshoes you are pitching. This info will be very helpful in giving you a complete answer.

Thank you for you time to help, I do appreciate it. Although I try to let my arm swing freely it is not so easy to do consistantly, especially trying to get the 2nd ringer. You are absolutely right I do not completely trust that horseshoe yet and am certain I know how to do it better, however that should pass as time goes on. When I throw a ringer with that Sidewinder though, it is a beauty and the doubles are a near heart-attack, I just love them. I'll keep working on it all. Thanks again!!
I'll get back to you bye and bye.

      Jim,
